In the last 20 years, baking has been my go-to activity to de-stress and unwind. I’ve always appreciated the rules of baking, measuring exact ingredients instead of throwing things in willy-nilly (except chocolate chips, those deserve a willy-nilly toss-in). Several years ago I added sourdough to my baking routine and am quite fond of my starter, Newt, which led to sourdough discard recipes galore. My neighbor suggested I mill my own flour from wheat berries, so I purchased a mill and got to work converting Newt and making my favorite recipes, but with quality nutritious flour freshly ground at home. I’ve had this blog on my mind for many years. I’m overjoyed to finally make this a reality and be able to share my favorite recipes with you!
When I’m not in the kitchen, I enjoy spending time with my family, cross stitching, painting, portrait drawing, yoga, every beautiful sunrise and sunset, and breathing in the beautiful sunny outdoors.
I love it! I always you knew you could do it.
